Privacy – How I handle your data

I run this site personally, not as a company. If you email me, your message and address stay in my email archive. Nothing goes on a mailing list, nothing is shared, and I'll delete a message on request.

Analytics

I use TelemetryDeck to see how many people visit this site and which pages they read. When you load a page, this is sent:

• The page you visited, and the page that referred you
• Your browser, operating system, screen size and language
• Your country, derived from your IP address
• The time of the visit
• A daily-changing, anonymized visitor ID

No cookies. Nothing is written to or read from your device unless you opt out below.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interests in knowing whether what I publish here gets read. The data is minimal, no lasting identifier is created, nothing is stored on your device, and none of it is used to profile you or shared with anyone.

Analytics provider: TelemetryDeck GmbH, Augsburg, Germany. Data is hosted in the EU and not transferred outside it. Their policy: telemetrydeck.com/privacy

Retention: 24 months

Opting out

Click below and analytics stops for you on this site. The link saves one opt-out setting in your browser, so it covers this browser on this device. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics is skipped automatically.

Hosting

GitHub Pages, operated by GitHub, Inc. (United States). GitHub receives your IP address to deliver the page and records it in its own logs for security and abuse prevention. I have no access to those logs and no control over how long GitHub keeps them.

Your rights

You can ask me to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, object to how I use it, or receive a copy. Email me.

The analytics data holds nothing that identifies you and no lasting identifier, so I can't find your records in it. Article 11 GDPR doesn't require me to start collecting more about you to make that possible, and I won't. What I can do is stop collecting from you, which is what the opt-out button does.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish data protection authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), or with the supervisory authority where you live.

Changes

This policy may be updated. Changes are published on this page with a new effective date.
